How eClasses Work:Instructors post lectures (text-based, no video or audio), reading selections, and hands-on assignments once a week in the online classroom. Students can discuss the assignments with the instructor and amongst themselves in the classroom area. This format has no set meeting time, which allows students to attend class at a time most convenient to them, yet still provides logically organized communication between class participants. Testimonials

Rating

  • "The course program was good, the material adequate. One does not need the reference book to complete the course, I found all the answers to my question in internet. My main criticism of this course was the poor feedback from the instructor. In all other courses I received input within days after submission of lab work, in this course it took weeks! I am sure there are better alternatives for e-learning photoshop." - Eric Bandle

  • "Great course. Being a PS noob, I learned a lot of techniques and tricks!!" - Steven Dunning

  • "I knew how to use just a few functions of Photoshop before this
class. Astrid does an excellent job of
    providing a foundation for future
use and study." - Douglas Fritz

  • "VERY thorough class, covering the basics of Photoshop. Be prepared to invest some time and effort into this class. The syllabus is excellent and the assignments both relevant and up-to-date." - Philip Napora

  • "Astrid is a wonderful instructor that I highly recommend! The course was so comprehensive and fun." - Laura Nanfra

  • "Enjoyed the class - well prepared and presented." - Stewart Moore

  • "Astrid has an incredibly professional presentation. Highly organized and easy to follow. She provides many examples and a ton of resources! (Although a few resource links should be checked for still being there.) At times I felt that there was too much information, and would liked to have concentrated more on selected topics like masks and channels, to name a few. (Spreading this course out into two, and intensifying the homework would have resulted in better retention for me.) All in all this is still a winner layout and should be helpful to any level student in it's breadth." - Robert Ostrochovsky

  • "Course work was challenging and justifies enrolling instead of trying to learn on my own. Expert guidance always available" - John Andrews

  • "This was a very enjoyable class. I learned a great deal about Photoshop and will be better able to use it for the website work I do." - Cynthia Nolen

  • "Astrid was an excellent instructor. She is very well experienced. Her lessons are easy to understand and follow, and she provides great visual examples. I would definetly take another class with Astrid." - Tabitha Shafer

  • "Astrid is a fantastic teacher who gives thoughtful feedback. Her comments make it obvious that she review students' work in depth." - Laura Kandziolka

  • "This class is awesome. Astrid's lectures are extremely helpful and easy to understand. I learned so much from this class and was able to take time to figure out what some of the gazillion options Photoshop could do. In addition, I gained ideas from others who were taking the class - we were in a very positive learning environment. Can't wait to take Photoshop Level 2." - Ruth Lang

  • "Another class with Astrid, another great learning experience. The classroom was very well structured, the lectures were top-notch, the assignments reinforce what you've learned each week and the instructor is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Photoshop is the industry standard in image manipulation. Every web designer is expected to master this program. Learning through trial and error is NOT enough to master a program and work efficiently with it - something you'll realise early on in the class.
Example: keyboard shortcuts. Learning them and using them religiously (something the instructor stresses time and again) makes them second nature, and you'll soon be working much faster and more effectively than ever before.

Through the class you'll get a solid grounding and command of the software - you'll learn all the important basics the right way, right from the start.

Level 1 takes you from the level of an absolute beginner to an intermediate user who knows what he's doing.

And since Photoshop mastery is (or should be) on the shortlist of skills of every web design student, it should be on yours too!

All I can say is, I'm looking forward to the Level 2 class!" - Charalabos Spiropoulos

  • "I really enjoyed this course. I discovered a new way of expressing myself. It is challenging and make you think laterally. The instructor was very encouraging and answering questions effectively and quickly. But most of all, it was great fun!" - Bernadette Vincent

  • "This course is excellent start for anyone wishing to learn Photoshop basics." - Beverley Deibler

  • "Astrid is very knowledgeable. The class materials that she presented to us - in addition to the text - were an excellent combination. I had absolutely no experience modifying photos or working in any program like Photoshop so my learning curve was tremendous. Astrid created an online classroom that supported me in this process. Thank you so much." - Sally Young

  • "Astrid presents the material in a straightforward and concise manner. She presents great examples to illustrate the concepts presented.

Her style of critique coupled with encouragement is fantastic. I would take another course offered by her in a heartbeat. She has opened a new door for me in my creative pursuits...yet another path to explore." - Lori Corbett

  • "Astrid is a knowledgeable and encouraging instructor. Her lectures are what brings the text and the screen together cohesively.
I thoroughly enjoyed Photoshop I, and am planning on taking Photoshop II later this month. It's depth is amazing. I find myself thinking about which filter to use in the middle of something totally unrelated, like my job!
Most challenging and the most fun of any course so far!" - Laura Ashton

  • "This was a crash course on Photoshop. I came in knowing nothing and came out feeling very comfortable with my newly learned photoshop skills. Thank you!" - Vicki Siwak

  • "Astrid Garcia's PS Level 1 is a great course. Since this was my first eClass course I cannot rank perfection across the board; however, I would recommend to anyone who is interested in using Photoshop to enroll in this class. Great overall job imo." - Michael Duckworth

  • "This was a great course. Furthermore, after I finished the course, I referred to the excellent materials frequently until I became more proficient with Photoshop. Great instructor and course!" - Judy Eichstaedt

  • "Another great course by Astrid, she works harder than the students!! A great course for anyone wanting to start Photoshop and those like myself who have been self taught." - Mark Williams
