HTML Special Topics: FormsThis special topic class will introduce the novice student to HTML forms. It is an introduction to forms. You'll learn about the uses of forms and how to effectively incorporate a form into your Web site. Outline Week 1: Coding your bare-bones form
Week 2: Using Elements and HTML Validation Concept
Week 3: Basic Javascripts, Forms and Elements
Week 4: Completing your form
Prerequisites A prior knowledge of basic HTML (Introduction to HTML class, for example) is assumed. Familiarity with forms, JavaScript, and CGI scripts is not expected or required, but the more you bring to this class, the more you'll take away from it. Requirements The textbook is recommended, but not required. Several online resources used in the class will address the same topics covered in the text. Students will need Web space to post their forms and assignments.

This online course is limited to 100 participants. Your place in the course is confirmed by your payment. Introductory courses are intended for students with no experience in the subject matter and are seeking beginner level training.

How eClasses Work:The classroom environment is based on Lundeen & Associates Web Crossing technology, a threaded messaging system. Instructors post lectures, reading selections, and hands-on assignments once a week in the online classroom. Students can discuss the assignments with the instructor and amongst themselves in the classroom area. This format has no set meeting time, which allows students to attend class at a time most convenient to them, yet still provides logically organized communication between class participants. Scott Montgomery is a US soldier stationed in Mannheim, Germany and now has 27 years of military service behind him. He holds an MA in German language and literature (1992) and a BS in computer and information systems (1997), both from the University of Maryland.
